As a board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Nimtz is highly experienced in a comprehensive range of plastic surgery procedures including fat grafting, tummy tuck, facelift, breast augmentation, liposuction and buttock lift. Dr Nimtz’s seeks to transform patient aesthetic goals into surgical realities by striving to deliver exceptional care, providing comfortable surgical experiences through attentive service, fostering an environment of safety, as well as educating and listening to the individual. His philosophy for plastic surgery is to achieve beauty by adhering to the aesthetics of proportion that exist in nature and appeal to our inherent sense of beauty.

Dr. Nimtz completed his internship and residency in a selective 6-year integrated plastic surgery program at the University of Kentucky. As an undergraduate, he attended Brigham Young University, where he graduated with honors in microbiology. While attending the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Nimtz was a recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship.

Dr. Nimtz has earned the distinction of certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The ABPS is the only board recognized to certify plastic surgeons and is recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. Board-certified plastic surgeons are specifically qualified to perform a complete range of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery procedures for the face and body. They must complete a minimum of 5 years of surgical training after medical school, which includes an accredited plastic surgery residency program, have practiced for at least 2 years, and have passed rigorous exams about plastic surgery.

Dr. Nimtz is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Lexington Medical Society. Dr. Nimtz has been practicing in Lexington since 2013 and has admitting and surgical privileges at several area hospitals, including: Kentucky One Health’s St. Joseph Hospital (main and East), Central Baptist Hospital, Baptist Health Corbin, Kentucky Surgery Center, Lexington Surgery Center, Baptist Health Physician’s Surgery Center.
